You’ve launched your business and you’re excited to share your content with the world. I’m excited for you. Now, you’re focused on increasing your business income. My Instagram post raised a lot of questions (and eyebrows). I just want you to understand that making money online is so possible. In fact, a strong social media presence is essential for every business. The thing is – money will not walk into your pockets just because you’re posting on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, or Pintrest just to name a few.
So, it’s imperative that you understand and apply the basics of making money online. The business that fails to apply the following steps will lose out on a lot of money. So, check it out:
1. Promote yourself
People don’t buy products, people buy people. Be real and show your audience who you are. Love your life enough to share it with the world. Who are you and what do you do? Allow your online community to know just what you do. Stick to your interests and brand story. This is what people want for you. Before they purchase, they must first know, like, and trust you. So, get over being fearful and timid. Be loud and bold.
2. Create products and services that people need
Stay relevant by providing content, information, and products that people want to buy. You’ll have to be very clear on your target audience and ideal client. When you plan to serve people first, you’ll never have to worry about not getting paid.
3. Be at the right place at the right time
If you don’t like social media, you just haven’t found out what works for you. Please be yourself. Note that you don’t have to be on every social media platform. Find out where your ideal clients hang out online, and work daily to dominate that space.
4. Think engagement over numbers
I know it’s your goal to gain more followers – I get it. But, don’t ignore the people who are already following you. Yes, you may have 500 but you prefer 5,000. Again, I get it. Nevertheless, love on those people who you’ve already got. Reply to comments, like comments, like posts, and leave comments. You must show that you’re a real person that cares.
5. Information before pitching
What are you offering your audience before mentioning your product? People do not like to be sold to. So, ask yourself: What do I offer my audience besides what I have to sell. Think about how you can serve and guide your audience. You will excel when you put people first – help them make life easier.
This isn’t brain surgery. Social media is not like building a rocket ship. Just show up and be real. Catch more commas by thinking of yourself last. Put people first. Has this information helped you? Let me know your thoughts by leaving a comment below.
